I will get back to tatting eventually. Just wanted to share the last of the vacation pictures. If you're into traditional and clothing and textiles this was definitely the parade to see. The Fall festival in Kyoto was a colorful parade of 400 years of textiles and designs. 
After the parade my host Mr. Shokoin and Mrs. Hattori and Mrs. Sato from Tokyo went to the northwest part of Kyoto to see the Tenryu-ri Zen Temple and the Sogenchi Garden.

From the train station to the Temple was a beautiful walk next to the river

Not sure who these cute little guys represent. I just loved their expressions.
