Well my last day in Japan was a full one. First stop was a surprise. My host Yusai took me to a small house where two women dress in me in full kimono, head to toe, hair and all. Personally I think kimonos are for the young because they look much better than I do in them. I didn't expect to be an all day deal, but it was from 10 am to 5 pm I was dressed traditional Japanese. Please don't laugh when you see the photo. Then we got on the train and went to the Golden temple with a beautiful Japanese garden.
We had just finished eating lunch in a another park with the "peoples temple" when we came upon a wedding precession. The bride and groom were in traditional Japanese wear.

I will miss Kyoto it is a beautiful city with so much to see.

I'm headed home to Fresno tomorrow. I've had a
wonderful time in Japan. I will post some of the shuttles and tatting when I get my pictures organized. Ok, here's the part where you can't laugh. I can't believe I'm posting this.

  1. What a lovely photo. You look very elegant. Is the print on the blue background pink chrysanthemums or peonies?
What is the significance of the bell behind you?
Thank you for sharing your trip with us. I lived vicariously through you.

  2. That colour is fabulous on you! - What fun, you even have your hair done in Japanese style! - were you able to bring the kimono home with you as a memory?
