Thanks to everyone for the nice comments on my posts. The kimono I wore has chrysanthemums on it. It's the season for them in Japan right now. I don't get to keep the kimono, it's kind of a rent-for-the-day sort of thing.

The large bell is rung before ceremonies or prayer to awaken god. It has the most beautiful resonance after it's rung.

Japanese people overall are very polite and generous to a fault. What's amazing even with all the people in Japan there is no litter or grafitti.
